Patterns
Maintain identity and account
Separate public profile presentation from credential and deletion tasks.
On this page
Task sequence
- Set a display name and optionally upload an avatar.
- Change account email through its own action.
- Enter and confirm a new password.
- Review the danger zone before account deletion.
Data and persistence
Profile, avatar and account endpoints are separate. Public-board identity appears only when both avatar and display name are available. Passwords and emails in captures are deterministic examples, never credentials.
Failure and recovery
Client password validation catches short/mismatched values. Profile save failure appears as text. Avatar errors cover type/size and upload failures; actual processing is outside capture scope.
Acceptance criteria
- No real files uploaded or accounts deleted.
- Public display name is not the account email.
- Do not imply a profile save updates credentials.
