Patterns

Edit and reorder bookmarks

Explicit Edit mode exposes management while protecting normal navigation.

On this page

Task sequence

  • Enter Edit mode.
  • Use the named edit handle to update a bookmark or move it to a board.
  • Drag the move handle to a new position.
  • Exit Edit to resume navigation.

Data and persistence

Updates wait for the PATCH response before replacing a local record. Reordering changes local order optimistically and fires a PATCH order array for the active board.

Failure and recovery

Editor errors retain values. Sort failures do not roll back or announce a problem. Keyboard sorting is not supported by the configured sensors.

Acceptance criteria

  • Tile clicks cannot navigate in edit mode.
  • Source order IDs stay associated with the active board.
  • Do not equate a visual move with durable persistence.
