Plan a day
Reserve time for meaningful work while keeping projects, events, and time away distinct.

User goal
Reserve time for meaningful work while keeping projects, events, and time away distinct.
Workflow
| Step | Expected behavior |
|---|---|
| 1 | Choose the day. Identify whether it is Today, future planning, or locked history before offering mutations. |
| 2 | Review the agenda and active filters. Hidden categories are still scheduled records. |
| 3 | Choose Block time or an open gap, then select the activity type. |
| 4 | Provide the project or title and a valid start/end range in the actual block editor. |
| 5 | Validate placement and save through the parent. Moving and resizing use 15-minute increments. |
| 6 | Review the next action inside the scheduled project block rather than adding duplicate task context. |
Decision rules
- Keep the agenda’s 7:00–20:00 defaults and 156px/hour scale consistent with its placement math.
- The current placement rule allows up to two simultaneous entries; more than two is rejected.
- Time away represents unavailability, not a project with an unfinished next action.
- Use the same project color, name, and area across overview and scheduled work.
Edge cases and recovery
- End must follow start; demonstrate validation before network success.
- A future or current day can be edited; past-day edits are blocked by the workspace.
- Creation via time inputs exists; equivalent keyboard move/resize behavior still needs a product-level decision.
- A failed day request currently stops loading without a comprehensive retry pattern. Do not present an empty result as confirmed absence of work.
